Membership Benefits
A strong and representative membership base is critical to the ongoing success of the WCPDF to enable it to be the collective voice of the industry between the private and public sectors. Membership of the Western Cape Property Development Forum (WCPDF) is therefore open to property developers and property development-related professionals across the entire production line of property development and construction. Our members also include the all-important service providers to our industry, from the provision of goods to members of the financial and legal sectors.
Our members enable us to continue our work on behalf of our industry and, in particular, enable us to tackle “head on” the many challenges which currently face our economic future.
In return, we offer our members the following benefits:
- Discounts of up to 20% per delegate (for paid-up members) to attend our highly popular and always sold-out annual conference. To learn more about our 2026 Annual Conference that was held in June 2026, click HERE.
- Special, Members-only networking and information events with key roleplayers from within the Public and Private Sectors. Previous events have kindly been sponsored by Rabie Property Developers, Concor Western Cape, Wesgro, the Western Cape Government, STBB Claremont, Business Partners and the City of Cape Town’s Human Settlements Department. In 2025, we held two Members-only Events: in March on “Intensifying the Densification Debate” (sponsored by the WCPDF). The following two events were both in October, the first sponsored by Business Partners, on “The REAL time value of money”, and the second was “The WCPDF in conversation with the City of Cape Town Affordable Housing Team,” sponsored by the City of Cape Town.
- In February 2026, in conjunction with the City of Cape Town’s Engineering Management Branch our Members-only event was about “Navigating the City’s Wayleaves System.”
- Our last Members-only Event was held on Wednesday 27 March 2026, with the topic of discussion “Can residents afford Cape Town (and the Western Cape)”.
- Members’ discounts will also be allowed on any WCPDF events for which an entrance fee may be required.
- First-hand and ongoing exchange of information on important private and public sector developments within the industry as they occur. This includes invitations to various WCPDF, local government and Province-led workshops, presentations and events on critical issues.
- Up-to-date information on the latest legislative changes pertaining to development in the Western Cape and nationally. This includes access to and giving input on industry submissions on critical policy issues impacting property development and, in turn, being constantly kept in the loop on the outcomes of negotiations with government to streamline the development process.
- Access to the WCPDF’s regular (and always highly topical) newsletter, where we also share the latest news on industry projects, initiatives and activities. We also invite paid-up members to send us their news for inclusion.
- Access to a members-only page on our website, including:
o Information on the WCPDF’s industry workgroups – led by members of our management committee
o Latest legislative and policy updates
o Research undertaken and collated by the WCPDF and associated organisations
o Past WCPDF newsletters.
Membership Fee Structure
Our fee structure is based on the size of the member’s company.

*The WCPDF is not VAT registered. Rates above are valid until 28 February 2027.
- All memberships run for a 12-month period.
- New memberships will commence on receipt of first payment.
- Annual membership renewals, on payment, will be for the 12-month period as reflected on the invoice.
- All membership fees are payable via bank transfer upon receipt of an invoice.
Privacy Policy
In order to get the maximum benefit from your membership, we ask you to provide us with a list of your colleagues and employees (in accordance with your membership category). This is to ensure they receive pertinent industry news. You can add as many as your chosen membership category allows.
By supplying us with this information, you agree to the following:
- The details provided will be added to the WCPDF database for the purposes of communicating directly with our members.
- Such communication will include regular newsletters, once-off time-sensitive announcements as they occur, as well as the promotion of WCPDF-related events, including our annual conference operated by K.I.T. African Agenda.
- We respect our members’ privacy and personal information and will take all reasonable measures to protect their data and keep it confidential.
- Members may unsubscribe at any time.
