DRAFT WESTERN CAPE INCLUSIONARY HOUSING POLICY FRAMEWORK: The WCPDF has submitted comment on the Western Cape Government’s draft policy on Inclusionary Housing, which was due on 13 July 2021. The comments reflect many years of the WCPDF having been involved with and even facilitated discussions on this topic between various private and public sector roleplayers. REVIEW OF REGULATORY, COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING BURDENS IMPOSED ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT BY LEGISLATION: Known as Project 146, Issue Paper 37, the WCPDF produced a submission on this matter on 31 July 2019 to the South African Law Reform Commission, highlighting that the burdens referred to were major contributing factors to the severe pressure under which the property and construction industries found themselves.
